Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actress, known for her appearances in live television, episodic guest
appearances, as well as made-for-television movies. In 1995, Sofer received a
Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General
Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS the soap
production The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California,
the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor and Martin Sofer, a
Conservative Rabbi. Her family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until
following divorce of her parents, [citation neededSofer moved with her father
and brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. However, Sofer
lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. The family was raised in
Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then
attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school
in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen where her father was the
rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen
High School in 1998, she pursued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer
began her career as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked
as an administrator of a band. Her first major role was as Rocky McKenzie on
the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91). Perhaps her most well-known role is
Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 in 1993 to September
24 the 24th of September, 1996. In the following years, she was a guest star on
the show (February 7-17, 1997; September 30th - October 2, 1997). Sofer was
presented with a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress
in a Drama Series for her performance as Lois. Sofer was asked to join CBS soap
show The Bold and the Beautiful in the new role as Quinn Fuller. Her first
episode aired July 12. Sofer has been featured in a variety of high-profile
prime time television series in a supporting cast member or guest star roles: Seinfeld,
Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost
Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
