Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen who was a former midwife as well as a nurse from
Norway. She was born on April 25 1969, in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich
Zellweger, is a Swiss-born engineer. The two became married in 1963. Drew
Zellweger is Renee's brother, and he was born on 15 February 1967. Renee was
interested in acting at the age of 14 when she was working in the drama group.
She also attended an acting class at University of Texas (Austin), where she
began looking towards acting as a career. Following graduation, she wanted to
keep acting, however Hollywood is a challenging city to get into, and so Renee
decided to stay in Texas and attempted to audition for roles around Houston
which she was able to secure roles in films as Reality Bites (1994) and Empire
Records (1995). Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer that she met
on set for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee saw him
working on a project and decided to audition. She was offered the role in Love
, and an offer of a 45 (1994). The role was a huge success and was a huge
success and earned her the respect of many that she relocated to Los Angeles.
She was then offered another role in The Whole Wide World (1996) which was an
opportunity to make her debut as a major actress. Cameron Crowe was busy with
casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking at
actresses such as Cameron Diaz, Bridget Fonda, Winona Ryder, and Marisa Tomei,
when he heard of Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He
auditioned Zellweger and was confident that the actress was his Dorothy Boyd.
Renee continued her great success by releasing small independent films. The
film received more praise from critics and felt assured that she was able to
reenter large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was a co-star in One True
Thing (1998). She also starred in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim
Carrey, and soon after that, she started dating Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary
(2001).
