Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist.
She was previously the TV reporter for ABC News. She is famous for her tenure
as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to 2018 as well as being
co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. She was also co-anchor on America This
Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the lack of opportunities on television,
she was offered the position of an agent for radio sales. Then she was able to
work for one year as a producer assistant at WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally
anchor or report. She was one of the weekend and weekday sports anchors for
WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 to 2005. Her contract was terminated and she was
hired as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from
November 2005 until December 2011. She was appointed by ABC News the news
division in December 2011. On January 2, 2012 she made her debut on ABC News'
World News Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well as
fill-in for Good Morning America during this time. She was later elevated to
become a New-York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. The final show of
World News Now and America This Morning was broadcast on January 22 in 2013. On
August 9, 2014 she debuted as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend, after
the departure of Bianna Golodryga. She moved to Yahoo! News. On August 25, 2015
ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a co-host for season 19. It
was revealed on August 3 this year that she had been renewed for her contract
for the twentieth season. She was also renewed as a co-host for Season 21.
During the series' 22nd and 21st seasons, she was mostly on the show's Friday
shows.
