Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals simple and easy to master techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell has worked and studied at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Her passion was for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I loved every minute of being a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy that has informed the way she cooks. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the quality of life for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. She talks about her culinary passion and shares her experiences in the food world when she travels throughout the US in the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne has always been grateful she was able to share her passion that she had for and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
