Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay is a Californian born in Long beach on the 24th of August, 1972. DuVernay was able to explore her artistic and creative talents in her early years, thanks to Aunt Denise. Aunt Denise, who worked night shifts as a nurse, allowed her to pursue art literature and the theater during daylight hours. DuVernay was first introduced to the film West Side Story by her aunt. DuVernay was instructed by her mom that art can be used to promote activism. Similar to DuVernay's mom, she was socially conscious and taught that she could express her thoughts through the arts. Although DuVernay lived in Compton with her parents, she lived living in Lowndes County Alabama where her father's family lived for generations. DuVernay's Dad recalled seeing the Civil Rights Movement's historic march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge near the town of Selma Alabama. The time she spent in Selma Alabama inspired her later to make a film about The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as well as the Civil Rights Movement. DuVernay received her graduation certificate in Saint Joseph High School, Lakewood California in 1990. Upon graduation, DuVernay studied at the University of California Los Angeles and graduated with degrees in English as well as African American study. DuVernay started producing in broadcast journalism when she was in her college. She started as an intern for CBS News, during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay was assigned to the monitor and investigate the residence of an individual juror. DuVernay was dissatisfied with her journalistic duties and decided to change to the field of public relations. DuVernay was immediately hired from college to be an intern at the studio that was small. Her private PR company, The DuVernay Agency was established in 1999. In addition to PR, the company established several lifestyle platforms like Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective Urban Eye, HelloBeautiful. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley is born with the birth symbol of.
